Today is just like a regular day chilling at home with two kids. We play, eat, nap. My big kid runs an obstacle course outside while my baby laughs at him. We build cubbies, garden, read books, bicker about who is going to pack up the art table. I do housework and watch Netflix after the kids go to bed. It's so incredibly normal. It's just also that a global pandemic, unprecedented in living memory, is spreading fast around us. I'm only reminded of this when I pick up my phone and my emails, texts, messenger, whats app, facebook feed and news are filled with COVID 19.
I realise today that it is going to be many months before I hug someone other than my kids.
